Repair A Home
Athens Habitat helps struggling homeowners maintain their homes through two programs to make sure families preserve their homeownership. Home maintenance tends to fall off the priority list when it becomes difficult to pay for basic living expenses. But over time, this deferred maintenance can cause unsafe living conditions. Our programs help low-income homeowners who are challenged by age, disability, or circumstance obtain emergency home repairs.
Brush With Kindness
Brush With Kindness makes needed repairs to the interiors and exteriors of their homes in order to make them more livable. Some of our available home repairs include, but are not limited to: exterior painting, roof, window/door, and general safety repairs.
In order to be eligible, you must be a low-income homeowner living in Clarke County and in need of emergency repair.
Emergency Handicap Access Ramp Program (EHARP)
Athens Habitat partners with HED and Multiple Choices for Independent Living to build ramps for low-income, physically disabled individuals to improve their quality of life.
In order to be eligible, you must be a low-income, disabled homeowner in Clarke County.
