Earth Day

Earth Day, April 22, was created as a day to show support for environmental protection, to reduce, reuse, recyle, restore, and replenish. These five words define what the Habitat for Humanity ReStore is all about. We take old, donated furniture and sell it in the ReStore. We may sell the piece as is, but we also re-purpose many of the pieces that come into our shop. When scraps are donated, we use them to build new furniture. Last year we saved 250 tons from entering local landfills by re-purposing everything that was donated to us. And we take all of the money raised in our ReStore and put it towards replenishing the Athens community- we support hard working families and are continuously moving forward on our mission to provide affordable housing to the members of our community! So in honor of the occasion, we will be having a sale at the ReStore from 9 AM-5 PM on Monday, April 22, 2013. We will have 10% off of EVERYTHING, 20% off all items made by Mr. Green, and 25% off of all building materials! We are located at 532 Barber Street, Athens GA- be there monday and enjoy the savings!
