Athens Area Habitat for Humanity has a long history of award winning floats in the annual Athens Downtown Parade of Lights and this year we continued our streak taking home the “Best Use of Theme by a Non-Profit”!

This year’s theme was the 12 Days of Christmas which we changed to the 12 Days of Habitat Christmas – each day another step in the building process is completed with our latest Habitat homeowner getting a key on the 12th day. In addition to designing and building the float we also rewrote the lyrics to the Christmas classic and recorded our own version of the song. Check it out:
