Athens Area Habitat For Humanity Promotes Community Revitalization with Carpenters Circle Dedication Tuesday September 29, 2015

Athens Area Habitat for Humanity will dedicate the Carpenters Circle neighborhood on Tuesday, September 29th at 5:30pm. The neighborhood is located at 160 Carpenters Circle. All are welcome to attend this outdoor dedication.

The Carpenters Circle dedication is an important milestone for Athens Area Habitat For Humanity serving as a huge part of our community revitalization program, helping us to continue to change the world one block at a time. This event will include fellowship, light refreshments and speakers including our executive director Spencer Frye, ACC district 2 commissioner Harry Sims, donor representative John Albright of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and resident Shamika Crew. Athens Area Habitat for Humanity is so proud of this milestone and wants everyone to attend.

The dedication ceremony celebrates the completion of 7 Athens Habitat homes in one neighborhood. This celebration also thanks the countless volunteers and donors who have given their money, time, talents, and materials to build a significant landmark in revitalizing neighborhoods on the East side of Athens.

The Carpenters Circle neighborhood is funded by the efforts of dedicated Committee of 1,000 members and numerous local businesses and organizations. Generous donations from so many local community members directly contributed to Athens Area Habitat’s ability to provide a decent, affordable place for the residents of Carpenters Circle to call home.
