Right now, Athens Area Habitat is in the planning phase for a new neighborhood, Micah’s Creek, which will not only provide home ownership opportunities for local families who could not otherwise afford a home of their own, but will also — through partnership with UGA — provide critical data on the impact of stable housing on education and income.
While this project has already earned more than $8 million in federal, state, and local grants, total estimated costs are close to $15 million. Your gift to our annual fund drive is crucial to filling the gap.
Even if you can only give a few dollars, you can still make a difference! That’s because the buying power of your contribution is compounded by non-profit discounts offered to us by local suppliers, and adds to the foundation of local funding upon which matching grants are based. Without financial support from folks like you, partnership and innovation can’t happen.
