Thank you to everyone who attended our annual committee of 1,000 celebration on Thursday January 26th. The event was held at the Georgian and there was lots of great food and music. Yelenia Casas, the daughter of Habitat homeowners also gave a touching speech about her family’s Habitat experience.

The celebration was held as a thank you to all of the donor’s that contributed towards the Athens Area Habitat’s Committee of 1,000 campaign. The power of the Committee of 1,000 program is that if 1,000 people come together and give just $67 dollars, they can change a family’s life forever by funding the construction of a new 3-bedroom home.
