Students Build Greenhouse with Materials from the ReStore

This past month 3rd Grade Students from Rocky Branch Elementary School built a greenhouse with materials donated from the Athens Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Their teacher Ms. Babin wanted to teach students about growing and nurturing plants as well as the importance of giving back to the community. So far the students have started growing tomatoes, broccoli, and okra and Ms. Babin says that they plan to donate all of the produce grown to help feed the homeless.

Students build the greenhouse out of windows, doors and plywood from the ReStore.
