The Race for the Dream 5k

Each year Athens Area Habitat holds the Race for the Dream 5k to educate residents that the American Dream of homeownership is still possible. This race brings together members of the community to support Athens Area Habitat's efforts to provide affordable housing in Clarke, Oconee, and Oglethorpe Counties. The race starts at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church (located at 1690 S. Milledge Ave. in Athens) at 8 am with a scenic finish by the lake in Memorial Park. Registration is $15 per person before August 30th and $20 after. This fee includes a race bag with a T-shirt and a water bottle. You do not want to miss out on this great way to celebrate Labor Day so save by pre-registering today.
The Jittery Joe's Fall Classic Century

Come celebrate Halloween this year at the Terrapin Brewery for the Jittery Joes Fall Classic Century. The Fall Classic Century is a Century Bikeride that has 3 course options: 62 miles, 31 miles, and a 6 mile family fun route. Cool off from the race with a cold glass of Terrapin Beer and enjoy our Fall Festival. Activities at the festival will include a Velo Swap, food, music, and drinks.
