Green Living With Mr. Green

Green Living: Refurbished Furniture by Mr. Green Athens Area Habitat is now able to extend the effectiveness of the ReStore as a recycling venue by consistently refurnishing furniture that would previously be unable to sell.

This is made possible through the talents of Mr. Green, a senior worker who uses his experience and desire to learn to refurbish broken or scratched furniture in the ReStore.

His “green” job allows the ReStore to accept a larger variety of items as well as improve the condition of many items to increase their chance of sale.

Due to popular demand, volunteering to assist Mr. Green at the ReStore has become a permanent volunteer opportunity (available Monday through Friday 9am - 1pm). Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a time with Mr. Green.
