Habitat for Humanity brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable housing.

House #74 Dedication

On Friday January 20, 2012 Athens Habitat for Humanity held a dedication ceremony celebrating the completion of House #74 and the official key exchange to new homeowner, Marie Pickens Woods.

“I am very excited and am finding it hard to hold it together these days,” said Ms. Woods. “I am so grateful and thankful to God and the AAHFH team for this awesome opportunity and fresh new beginning. Great things are on the horizon for my family and myself.”

The ceremony included a blessing by Deacon Quaison Payne of Hill Chapel Baptist Church. Athens Area Habitat for Humanity is very excited to commemorate the 74th house built in the Athens area and look forward to the future successes of Ms. Woods and her family.
