Community Service Policies

1.You must fill out our community service profile sheet. This is the only sheet we will use to verify your hours.

2. You must sign in via the ReStore office. If you do not follow sign in/out proceedures, your hours will not be recorded.

3. It is your responsibility to let us know when your sheet needs to be faxed to your probation office. In addition, you are also expected to provide us with the correct name of your probationer, telephone number, and fax number. We are not responsible for obtaining this information.

4. Habitat will not make copies of your community service sheet until your hours have all been completed. Please do not ask us for copies before this time.

5. You are expected to work at least 4 hours at a time. It is always better to show up closer to 9 then later on in the day. We only take a select number of people at a time and we do not make exceptions.

6. You are expected to work continuously. You will be asked to leave if you do not do so. If you need a break, please inform the ReStore Supervisor

7. You are required to purchase a t-shirt for $10 and must wear it each time you are in the ReStore performing community service. This shirt identifies you as a volunteer and allows you to better help our customers. You will not be allowed to work without the ReStore shirt.

8. This is a business phone line. Do not give this number for personal contacts. There will be no personal calls from our number.

9. Habitat retains the right to ask any person to leave the premises and not return. Therefore, remember to act appropriately and follow any instructions given to you.
